This week, Ting and I agreed that my dialogue assignment was looking good overall, which made me feel more confident about the exercise and showed me that I am beginning to understand how to balance technical correction with performance. For the final polish before submission, I still need to make a few small tweaks, especially to refine facial movement and improve expression clarity. Even though the shot is close to finished, this stage has reminded me that the final details often make the biggest difference in how natural and convincing the animation feels.
The locomotion was a good starting point, but I had some difficulty with the leg controls, which caused the bones to pop out and disrupted the smoothness of the movement. The side-to-side motion was generally correct, but I still need to add more shoulder movement and open the legs out more, as they currently feel too tight.
This was the playblast that recieved the feedback:
For next week, we will plan the shot and focus on developing the work from the past few weeks. We can either choose a new shot or revisit a previous project to refine and polish it.
