In this class, we went through choosing a research topic and turning it into a clear argument. Nigel showed examples of how to use our own voices when making an argument, while still being truthful with the facts.
After the explanation, I had a short 1:1 with Nigel since I knew what I wanted to write about, but didn’t know how to narrow it. My topic is going to be Motion Graphics in Branding or Motion in Title Sequences. Since both worlds call to me, I find it interesting to do one of them. While discussing this, I came across a fascinating narrative about motion graphics in both areas and how they were applied. My homework for the following tutorial is to complete the Research Outline proposal with a research question, choosing branding or title sequences.
