For this week’s class, we reviewed all our juice box animations. It was really fun to see how different each one was from the others. Regarding the golden pose, my pose was much better, but I still struggle to keep it symmetrical. The issue was the poor camera position choice. However, I’ll work further on the following golden poses.
During the class, Ting worked on a colleague’s project in hand to improve it and showed how to further move beyond the blocking stage for our next assignment.
It was a workshop-type class, where we each worked on our own projects to make improvements and take them to the next level. In addition, we were also taught the difference between IK and FK, which helped us with our subsequent golden poses.
On the other hand, in terms of references, Ting will show us different types of animation every week to help us become familiar with them, rather than just focusing on Sony and film animation. We watched ‘ My mother’s coat’, a personal project of a famous animator telling her own story.
Here’s my juice box animation:
Here are my three Halloween poses using FK and IK. In my case, I chose IK for the lower body and FK for the upper body.
